Lies About Diabetes:
It’s been one crazy week.
Oh, you didn’t notice?
A few weeks ago, we re-released my 4 Cycle Fat Loss Solution to the
general public and right now it’s going viral on the internet.
In fact, we cracked the Top 10 on-line best-seller list within less than 36 hours of releasing it.
I feel VERY blessed to have amazing fitness friends and loyal followers like you, helping me reach more people and showing them how to improve EVERY area of their lives with carb cycling!
Needless to say, I haven’t slept very much so I’m turning today’s article over to my great friend, Nutrition Nerd, Nicky P.
Nick has spent hours and hours investigating blood sugar, and diabetes…
…And he’s uncovered some pretty scary stuff we all need to be aware of.
Take it away Nick…
The 4 Great LIES About Diabetes
Turns out that drugs that lower blood sugar are NOT a viable option in the long run — and even show a laundry list of side effects that may be life threatening.
That’s because most people have NO clue how diabetes really works and what causes it because of the terrible misinformation by the pharmaceutical companies and even some doctors who misinform the public with lies about diabetes.
Let me quickly do my “nerdy” thing and dispel all the myths.
Here we go…
Lies About Diabetes #1: Diabetes is a blood sugar disease
The main problem with diabetes is insulin resistance, which means your cells cannot respond to insulin properly.
And because insulin is responsible for lowering your blood sugar back to normal after you eat, it’s normal that diabetics have elevated blood sugar levels.
But does it mean that lowering your blood sugar with drugs is the thing to do?
No. Definitely not.
It would be as effective as fixing a car with a piece of duct tape
To reverse type-2 diabetes and pre-diabetes, you simply need
to fix your insulin reistance.
Lies About Diabetes #2: Low carb diets are not necessarily safe for diabetics
Wrong, once again.
Most professionals do not want people to lower their blood sugar diet — the very thing they are trying to do with drugs.
The truth is that starting with an extremely low carb diet will jump start your long-term diabetes strategies.
However, please discuss your intentions with your doctor.
Let them know what you are planning. If you are currently on meds to treat your Type 2 diabetes, discuss safe ways get off of them.
And if you think that going low carb will cause hypoglycemia (or blood sugar to get too low) it’s just another myth.
The real problem is going low carb AND taking blood sugar-lowering meds at the same time. In this case, the drugs cause hypoglycemia.
Lies About Diabetes #3: Diabetes can’t be cured
It’s true that most people with type-1 diabetes will have to deal with it for the rest of their lives.
But 95% of people with diabetes are affected by type-2 diabetes, this is very simple to reverse when you use the right diet, and exercise.
Lies About Diabetes #4: Weight loss surgery is the perfect solution to cure diabetes
Using surgery for the treatment of type-2 diabetes has been proudly called the “Top Medical Invention of 2013” by The Cleveland
Because US tax payers now shed in their money for these interventions (through the Medicare program), everyone is jumping the surgery bandwagon.
But there are two main problems with surgery:
A) While it helps most patients lower their calorie intake because it overall decrease in appetite, it does NOT cure insulin the same way that a healthy “diabetes reversal” can.
B) No one talks about the real risks involved (thanks to Dr. Mercola for that one).
A study from 2004 reported that the risk of dying within 30 days of gastric bypass surgery was 1 in 50. Sounds like gambling with your life to me…
The study also found that most people end up with long term problems after their surgeries:
– Nearly 50 percent of patients required removal of their bands
– Nearly 1 out of 3 patients experienced band erosion
– 60 percent needed to undergo additional surgery
There you have it.
The 4 most common lies about diabetes that even your own doc may have told you.
Here’s the honest truth.
Type-2 diabetes can be cured and reversed with exercise, proper food choices and optional supplements.
But only if you’re ready to follow a solid plan that controls your blood sugar, cleans out your diet and gets you moving.
A solid plan like this one from somebody I trust. Somebody who knows the REAL truth about how to “naturally” fight diabetes and blood sugar issues:
