The pantry of the average American family overflows with so-called “healthy” foods that are really anything but. Opt for these truly healthy alternatives instead.
Just open up the cupboard of the average American dieter and you’ll most likely find almost every one of these so-called “healthy” foods…
– Low Fat and Fat Free Foods
All the “healthy” fats are typically replaced with fattening refined sugar and processed garbage.
Swap out these low-fat / fat-free options for full-fat real foods like organic cottage cheese, grass-fed raw cheese or unflavored Greek yogurt.
– Over the counter Salad Dressings
Most are loaded with unhealthy ingredients like high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), inflammatory oils, and even trans fats.
Swap for apple cider vinegar with real olive oil.
– Whole wheat bread
Whole wheat bread has been shown to spike your insulin just as much as white bread.
There are also a few studies showing that today’s modern wheat can potentially cause inflammation and increased cholesterol levels.
