Foods that Burn Fat:
Ok, I’m back today with 4 more foods that burn fat that you should eat to keep your testosterone at healthy levels.
This should be of vital importance to every man or woman trying to stay lean and healthy.
Low “T” is quickly becoming a huge problem for everybody in today’s toxic world — even young adults in their twenties.
Remember, even if you’re a female, you want and need healthy testosterone levels.
It will help you burn more fat, stop muscle loss, increase bone density, and increase your sex drive in a natural and healthy way.
Yesterday we talked why you should eat more pasture-raised chicken eggs, raw pumpkin seeds, and cod liver oil.
Here are 4 more “fatty” health foods that burn fat to help you increase your fat-burning hormones naturally.
4) Coconut Oil
This unique “saturated” fat should be in everybody’s diet.
It’s extracted from the kernel of mature coconuts and because of its superior heat stability, it makes for a great cooking oil.
It’s 100% pure friendly fat/oil so it doesn’t contain any protein, carbohydrates, cholesterol, or sodium.
Coconut oil contains 66% medium chain triglycerides (MCTs). Because of their molecular structure, MCTs are more readily available as an energy source than other fats so they’re quickly burned off.
MCTs have also been shown to help increase protein absorption and promote more efficient fat oxidation.
Coconut oil has been shown to boost testosterone production by improving the enzyme activity involved in “T” synthesis.
It’s even been shown to increase metabolic rate, which can also help with fat-loss. Shoot for one or two tablespoons a day.
Karen and I melt a tablespoon right into our coffee every day. Yum.
5) Raw Brazil Nuts
Brazil nuts are probably the most potent source of selenium around, which is a precursor to “T” production.
However, you have to monitor your intake of these nuts because they have so much selenium in them. Remember, everything in moderation.
You only need a small handful (5 to 8) per day. These nuts are also a great source of calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, copper, and manganese too.
Make sure you buy raw. They’re more expensive, but you’ll get exactly what you pay for…all the benefits above.
6) Grass Fed Butter
Hopefully you know by now that margarine is unhealthy and REAL butter (from grass fed cows) is the way to go. It’s an easy way to get more healthy fats in your diet and raise your natural “T” levels.
Foods that burn fat
Butter from grass-fed cows gives you an excellent dose of testosterone-boosting saturated and unsaturated fats. It’s rich in vitamins, minerals, and healthy fatty acids just like grass fed beef.
Karen cooks our grass fed burgers in a non-toxic, cast iron skillet with some grass-fed butter and it’s absolutely delicious.
You’ll salivate with every bite and you’ll NEVER want to eat another fast food or bar burger again after trying it this way. Well, I guess it depends. There are some really good bar burgers out there 🙂
7) Grass-Fed Beef
Speaking of beef…
Some of the healthiest meat around and one of the best foods that burn fat is grass-fed beef. Cows are meant to eat grass, not corn and grains.
When a cow is grass fed, it has higher amounts of healthy cholesterol; it’s higher in omega-3 fatty acids/CLA (healthy fats); antioxidants and “T” boosting selenium.
So there you have it. Four more foods that burn fat!
A crash course on foods that burn fat to help you naturally boost the hormones that keep your fat-loss moving, your energy levels high, and boost your sex drive too!
As with any long term nutrition strategy, more is NOT better.
So please do NOT go binging or over-eating these foods if you’re a guy and you wanna ‘get jacked.’
Just make sure you’re adding them to your diet consistently with other healthy foods.
Now whether you lose weight fast or slow can affect various hormones negatively OR positively as well.
Losing something like 10 pounds in 14 days sounds like a BIG goal, but it’s not unrealistic.
You just have to be “smart” about it and make SURE you’re using exercises and foods that keep your hormones at healthy levels and don’t mess up your metabolism.
My great friend and go-to guy for “neuro” fat-loss, Kareem (aka – Dr. K), posted an article on his website that’s specifically designed to address this type of aggressive fat-loss in a 10 day period.
Best of all, it only requires 15 minutes a day or less:
Kareem also talks about 5 exercises, that when combined in a specific order, target muscles that improve your metabolism and increase the contractile strength of nearly every muscle in your body.
When you combine these five exercises with a rapid fat loss diet protocol that he lays out at the link below, you compound the fat loss effect.
Dr. K breaks it all down into 3 essential steps at this link:
