Cheat Day Disaster: DAMAGE CONTROL
Shaun Hadsall and Ryan Colby recently took a business trip to Chicago. Who goes to Chicago and does not indulge in their-world-famous-Chicago-style-deep-dish-pizza? (Condolences to the lactose-intolerant). While gorging on more pizza than they had planned, (let’s not mention the ice cream for dessert), they soon realized they would have to do some major damage control upon returning home. While we all know it’s tough to stay on a great nutrition/exercise plan while traveling, there are ways to minimize the effects of “cheat days” gone bad.
How to repair the damage after a Cheat day disaster!
After gorging a little too much, you must get your body into fat burning mode again as soon as possible. You must deplete the energy stored up during your cheat day extravaganza. That means eating less than 50 grams of carbs while making sure you eat saturated fats for 3 days!
Coconut oil and grass-fed beef contain the saturated fat that replaces your energy while you are not eating many carbs. Coconut oil has MCTs (or medium chain triglycerides) that are used for burning, not storing fat) and Grass-fed beef has CLA (or conjugated linoleic acid) which is a fat-burner. This will prevent muscle loss and keep you satisfied while depleting your energy stores. Doing this will also restore your testosterone and estrogen ratios. Your Cheat Day doesn’t have to derail you off your plan…Take three days and restore your hormones, lose the water weight and get back on track.
People think these foods are bad to eat. Click on this link and find out for yourself why you should stop AVOIDING saturated fats all together.
