If there is anybody’s health that’s more important than my own, it’s my daughter Jordan’s (and my wife of course).

I just called her from Miami to get an update after she went to the doctor with a kidney infection — and what he asked her to do made me FURIOUS!
He said she needs to improve her digestive health and stay more hydrated.
Drink more Gatorade for hydration and eat more yogurts for her digestive health.
Now truth be told, I know he means well… but BOTH of these things will just make her problems much, much WORSE.
1: Gatorade is loaded with High Fructose Corn Syrup, which goes directly to your liver, gets stored as fat, and raises BAD triglycerides, eventually causing “fatty liver disease”.
Fructose is the devil when it comes to health and fitness.
2: 95% of all over-the-counter yogurts are LOADED with artificial sweeteners, chemicals, and sugar.
Additionally the probiotics found in yogurt get destroyed in the stomach from the digestive juices our bodies produce.
So I went on a preaching rant telling her what she really should be doing instead.
Her reply? “Ok DAD….ok ok ok, now quit preaching to me!”
What can I say, I’m a dad and I love her more than anything, so when she’s in pain, I’m in pain and my heart aches for her.
They also put her on a 2nd dose of antibiotics for the infection, which I’ll admit, is probably necessary to kill it off.
But it’s still not healthy.
The good news is that there is a huge lesson here for Jordan and YOU.

As you’re reading these words, 100 trillion bacteria are lurking in and out of your body.
Now, that may sound disgusting — but scientists have now proven that without these bugs, you’d be dead right now.
Not only do you NEED these bacteria, but they are a cornerstone of your entire health — especially those in your gut.
What hurts your gut bacteria — also called your “gut flora” — hurts your entire body.

Okay, I know you want examples. Here we go…
This common product has been added to our tap water for the last 100 years or so to ward off infections.
But here’s the problem though… Americans ingest from 300 to 600 times what the EPA considers a “safe” amount.
Chlorine destroys acidophilus, probiotics which helps build and maintain your gut flora.
To avoid consuming excess chlorine, use a water filter on your faucet for your drinking water and consider one for your shower head too.
Antibiotics do their job by killing the bad bacteria, but they kill the good bacteria in the same run.
Always use antibiotics as a last resort, and NEVER take antibiotics to fight the common flu… it’s useless.
Fluoride is another chemical that’s added to tap water in the US, Canada and even Australia.
The idea behind it is good — fluoride will help reduce cavities for the population.
But it turns out that ingesting fluoride is now strongly linked with gut flora and health problems.
Again, that’s why I think everyone should have a water filter at home.
Your gut flora is 80% of your immune system. Never forget this important fact.
