Gut Bacteria: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly…
I have a short guest article for you today from my main man Nick Pineault about your gut.
Yup…you heard it right – the inside of your belly can make or break your fat loss goals.
This is some eye opening stuff that every human being needs to be aware of.
Short. Sweet. And straight to the point.
Fat Loss and YOUR Gut + 10 Weird Foods to Increase Fat Loss

Look down at your gut.
Then look at the rest of your body.
Get this. There’s 10 times more bacteria than cells inside your body. In other words, you’re a walking tower with about 100 TRILLION bugs living inside.
So much for being afraid of bacteria…
And guess what? You NEED these gut bacteria to survive.
The good gut bacteria are your immune system. They help you ward off invaders like the flu and various allergens.
Eighty percent (80%) of your immune system is in your gut, where there’s a constant fight between the good, helpful bacteria and the hungry bugs that are trying to take over your body.
(We call this the “gut flora,” but I like to picture an epic Lord Of The Rings battle :P)
Most of the time, you ward off invaders and diseases just fine.
But when the good gut bacteria are killed by the chlorine your drink in your tap water, pesticides on your food, air pollutants, fake sweeteners, GMOs, antibiotics, prescription meds and a bunch of other stuff… they lose the battle.
And most people don’t know this, but the health of your digestive system
affects not only your digestion, but your ENTIRE body.
Studies have shown that a bad gut bacteria (flora) can affect your carb tolerance,
insulin sensitivity, sleep quality, thyroid health, your mood and much more.
I’ve got good news and bad news for you.
The bad news first… unless you fix them, imbalances in your gut flora
WILL slow down your ability to burn fat. It’s just another reason people
fail on unhealthy crash diets.
The good news is that your gut bacteria or flora is in constant change, and can be healed over time with the use of specific foods and supplements.
Here’s my two-pronged approach to healing your gut:
First, make sure you regularly consume sauerkraut, kefir and most of these
gut cleansing foods (just enter your email to download the free report):
Second, I supplement with a quality probiotics supplement that I use every
morning and before bed.
What I like about this product is that it’s one of the few probiotic supplements
that actually reaches your intestine and helps repopulate your gut flora — whereas
93% of other probiotics die before doing their job.
Check it out:
If you’re on a budget, stick with the 10 gut cleansing foods above.
But I found that since I’ve started taking the extra probiotic supplements,
I NEVER get sick anymore and my digestion is rock solid.
Have a great day!
