Yoga and Fat Burning
As you know, I’m always on the lookout for new ways to help you drop flab and tighten up your whole body.
But this one may surprise you…
…I’ve discovered a powerful way for you to enter the perfect “fat burning zone” with NO exercise and ZERO equipment.
Believe it or not… it’s a special type of yoga “flow.”
But ONLY if you do it in a specific way.
Yoga and Fat Burning Zone
When you perform yoga in what’s called a FLOW—or a string of yoga poses linked together into a continuous workout—your body actually gets into a perfect fat burning zone.
During an informal study performed during her Master’s degree in Exercise Science at Cleveland State University, my friend Kristine Fondran used special equipment to measure fat burning during a vigorous yoga flow.
She burned around 7 calories per minute.
I know, who cares right?
But get THIS.
About 6.3 of those were from PURE FAT. So the percentage of fat calories burned was 90%.
Pretty slick if I do say so myself.
I’ve always forced myself to use this type of yoga cuz it just makes me “feel” better the other 23 hours of the day…
…I had no clue that yoga could burn fat like nobody’s business.
The accelerated calorie burn created by this type of yoga is pretty much identical to the most popular weight loss exercise on the planet—jogging—but with one BIG difference.
Long, slow and repetitive workouts like jogging or cycling performed repeatedly will increase the stress hormone cortisol and force your body to STORE more fat—and burn up precious muscle tissue.
But with this specific type of yoga, you avoid the problem of increased cortisol while still simultaneously getting the powerful fat blasting effects.
In fact, in 2009, Indian researchers showed that cancer patients following a yoga and fat burning program had lower levels of cortisol than those who did not.
And right now, you can apply these exact strategies on your body using the scientifically proven method at this link:
Plus, treadmills and stationary bikes are BORING.
But a science-based yoga workout is anything BUT boring.
And it requires ZERO equipment
Talk to ya later!
