Yoga and Sleep? Can yoga really make you sleep better?
Note: I’m about to reveal what is likely the “easiest” way to reduce body-fat that you’ve EVER heard of.
Practicing Yoga may help you sleep better, improve insomnia and reduce the need for sleep aids. It also can burn a ton of fat.
Obviously this not a quick-fix for fat-loss, but it’s often overlooked.
Here are a few eye-opening results from recent scientific studies.
If you care anything at all about being leaner and staying healthy, then quickly read this.
FIRST: When dieters get adequate sleep, more than half of the weight they lose is fat.
When dieters cut back on their sleep, only one-fourth of their weight loss came from fat. So those with poor quality sleep lost muscle and other lean tissue.
SECOND: Those who sleep an average of 5 hours per night were found to have much higher fat storing hormones than those who slept for 8 hours.
THIRD: A sleep duration of 6 hours or less, or 9 hours or more, is associated with increased prevalence of diabetes and impaired glucose tolerance.
The “sweet spot” for achieving maximum health and fat-loss is obvious.
Get 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night or as much as possible.
But since we don’t live in a perfect world, it’s MUCH easier said than done.
Yoga and Sleep
Now in case you missed my last post, you probably had NO clue that this weird type of exercise can burn as much fat as jogging (I didn’t either).
YUP. You heard it right.
It burns about 7 calories per minute. And get this.
It’s 93% pure fat.
Listen, everybody starts out using treadmills and stationary bikes, but it only takes a few months before it gets boring.
But a science-based yoga workout is anything BUT boring.
And it requires zero equipment.
Make the leap. You’ve got everything to gain and nothing but fat to lose.
And don’t forget to read the sleep report BEFORE bed tonight.
Have a great week!
