Hi there. Just wanted to share some of our ‘healthy’ toppings for pancakes, waffles & french toast at Head Start that I came up with as alternatives to syrup. We used melted peanut butter (it spread easier and was actually prefered in the melted form), natural applesauce with cinnamon added, yogurt or natural jams. Obviously the PB or the yogurt added protein, but the applesauce or jam was a fruit kicker. Just thought I’d throw that out there since I had to work hard to make our breakfasts appetizing and healthy there.
