My beloved business partner and friend WENDY LYNN CHANT, 44, of Lake Mary, passed away on Nov. 19, 2009 in Altamonte Springs, FL after a valiant fight against cancer.
Wendy inspired and motivated me and countless others to always strive to be better. Her discipline and work ethic served an example of what I aspired to achieve. As soon as she climbed to the top of a mountain, she would look around to find another one to climb.
She taught me that it was our duty and obligation to make sure people heard and understood the fat loss and fitness truth. I’m proud to say she was my friend and consider her one of my greatest mentors. Heaven has gained a Fitness Angel, but Earth has lost a Teacher, Coach, and Motivator whose example is what all people should strive for in life.
Here’s her story.
Wendy was born in Woodbury, NJ and moved to Florida in 1986. A certified Master Personal Trainer and Specialist in Performance Nutrition, a former marathon runner and body builder, she took her skills and founded Forever Fit in 1998.
An inspirational speaker, she took her message to those in the Central Florida area through her fitness and nutrition boot camp. She is the author of the New York Times Bestseller – “Crack the Fat Loss Code” and “Conquer the Fat Loss Code” (McGraw-Hill).
Wendy’s latest project Get Lean In 12 played on all her strengths as a visionary. By utilizing video Internet Coaching to spread her life-changing message on a global level, Wendy partnered with Body Transformation Expert Shaun Hadsall to help carry on her legacy and continue to help people Crack The Fat Loss Code for years to come.
Each of these endeavors embodies Wendy’s heartfelt mission- to motivate and help others transform their lives and their health through positive lifestyle changes with an “Anti-Diet”, habit-building approach.
Wendy was predeceased by her father, Charles W. Eisele. She is survived by her daughter, Valerie Rita Chant of Tampa, FL; her “Mom”, Ina Williams of Altamonte Springs, FL; her loving fiancé, Scott Tate of Lake Mary, FL; her mother, Doris Wilson, of Danbridge, TN, her beloved pup, “Rusty”; her brothers, Jeffrey Wilson, Thomas Eisele, Derek Wilson and Charles Eisele; her sisters, Kelly White, Crystal Casey and Gail
Campbell; and by a large family including aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews as well as scores of friends, who all will miss her dearly.
A memorial service to honor Wendy’s life will be held at Tuskawilla Presbyterian Church at 3600 W. SR 426, Oviedo, FL on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor may be gifted to the Hospice of the Comforter, 480 W. Central Parkway, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714.
We will miss you dearly Wendy, but we will continue to carry on your name and legacy by helping people Crack The Fat Loss Code with Get Lean In 12!
Blessings and sincerest sympathy to Wendy’s loved ones,
The Get Lean In 12 Team

Wendy was a very loving person. She truly cared about her clients. We will miss her positive spirit, warmth, and wit. God bless her and her family and close friends.
I am so sorry to hear of Wendy’s passing. I just recently learned about the “Fat Code” and “Get Fit in 12″ and I am a fan. I feel like I’ve lost a friend. My condolences to you and her family.
Wendy was a champion, and a graceful and wonderful teacher. I, too, feel like I’ve lost a friend, even though I only spoke with Wendy over the telephone. I’m so very sorry for her loss, and my thoughts and prayers will be with her family.
I know that we will all miss Wendy Chant! She was and will continue to be in inspiration to many. In a short time, I feel she has taught me so much with get lean in 12 and I send my prayers to all her family and friends.
Wendy was living her passion to help others. She passionately taught about nutrition and motivated us to better health. Her compassion to accept people where they were, to care about them enough to encourage them towards health and wellness was what I loved and admired about her. My life is richer for having known her. God bless you during this time of grief and my prayers are with you.
Wendy was an incredible inspiration. I only spoke with her once (on Skype) but she generously emailed me answers to questions many times, even when she was very ill. She will be greatly missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.
My life is also richer for having known Wendy. My prayers go out tonight to those of you who were closest to her.
I am so sorry to hear of Wendy’s passing! I am so grateful to her for writing her 2 books which is the only way I have known her except thru the video’s she & Shaun did on their site.
This morning I hit my all time lowest weight in about 10 yrs. & I owe that to Wendy & her wonderful formula. My prayers & love I send to her friends & family at this time, God Bless, Kyla

Wow, what a sad day! I am so blessed for having the privilege of speaking with Wendy by phone and reading both her books. I just started the Double Accelerated plan today! My condolences to her family – she will be missed.
MY heart sank when I opened the email and read that those of us who have battled with our weight all of our lives have lost a champion. I am one of those baby-boomer women who had indeed tried every diet out there and wrecked my metabolism in the process. I “found” Wendy through a supermarket magazine that I never pick up, much less purchase, and went that same day to buy her book. It has changed my life and I will be forever grateful. She will be missed by many, loved by some and remembered by us all. Bless those she has left behind.
I’m so sorry to hear about Wendy’s passing. I’m new to ‘Get Fit in 12′ and it’s been a real blessing for me. Thanks to all involved. I extend my deepest sympathies to Wendy’s family and friends. God bless you all.
I’m sitting here typing with my heart full of sadness and unbelief. I became impressed with you when you took time out to come to a small time town in Central Fl(Sebring) to teach us how to “crack the fat loss code” I still incoporate your teachings 5 years later. I told you, you would be on Oprah one day. You left us your legacy to carry on your dream. You were a classy lady and I will miss you. My condolences to your family.
So sad! May God Bless Her Family with Comfort and may they come to know the Lord as I hope Wendy did.
I just purchased my first book by Wendy and read it immediately…I am purchasing the other one and will get with the Get Lean in 12.
Amazing how the information and words encourage and uplift a person….encourages to BEGIN a new life of good health.
So sorry for all the TEAM’s loss.
I’m in disbelief, I had no idea Wendy even had a health issue, she was so busy helping everyone at her special classes that you never knew. I haven’t been to a class in about a year and was really missing being there to hear all the latest health information. My prayers are with her family and friends.
SO SORRY TO HEAR WENDY LOST HER BATTLE WITH CANCER, MY SYMPATHY TO HER FAMILY. I HAVE ENJOYED HER BOOK, CRACK THE FAT LOSS CODE.

Wendy was special! And she was an example of someone living their purpose.
Her teachings were only half her message. Her other half was the life she lived – her own. And she encouraged so many to do the same.
If you notice, you can take her same prinicples and apply them to waking and living YOUR dream.
Thank you, Wendy, for letting your star shine on and for us. Now, you have had the Ultimate Healing!
Wendy was my inspiration, my coach and my friend. She was also my enemy because she kicked my butt and told me how to eat, when to eat, how much to eat, what not to eat, coached me in work-outs because she cared about me and my health. She wanted to see all her clients succeed and this is what motivated her and made her happy. There isn’t another Wendy out there and she will be missed.
My condolences to her family, friends and Scott.
Wendy earned her wings here on earth and now has gone to a better place!I have never met or known anyone any more dedicated, genuine and caring than Wendy. We are all better in our own accomplishments partly because of Wendy. There will always be a void for us without her but she will be our “fitness angel” looking down on us and in our hearts, encouraging us to continue our “fitness” road.
May we all cherish our memories of a very “special” lady. Rest in peace, dear Wendy as you are now free of pain.
God bless her family and watch over them in their time of need.
Wendy had such enthusiasm and can-do attitude. What a blessing she was to all of us. I had been thinking of her often. I wish there was some way I could have made her illness less painful. Valerie and Rachael, I hope you are okay. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I only recently found the GL-12 site and am enjoying true success for the first time in my weightloss career. I surely hope that her family knows how very much Wendy was appreciated by folks like me, who had given up hope of weightloss/fitness success.
I feel that the woeld has had a great loss. My truest sympathy and heartfelt prayers go out for family and friends of this wonderful woman.
I too, like Deborah above, picked up a “First” magazine and saw her different way of eating. I wrecked my metabolism also on various “diets”. I am on the Accelerated Phase right now and I have actually lost fat. I was just about to give up and accept being heavy forever. Wendy was nothing but an inspiration to me. God bless her and her family at this difficult time.
When I opened my e-mail from Shaun, I was so saddened to learn Wendy had passed away. My condolences to her family and friends. To the end she remained committed to the service of educating people to change their lives with her proven method of weight loss and good health. Her courage and strength are inspirations to me.
Our prayers and sympathy abide with Wendy’s family, and sincere hopes that they know how much she loved them. It doesn’t take much to still hear Wendy’s encouraging (and sometimes driving voice)in my ear during my HIIT mornings, and I will always have the feeling that she is pulling for our success. She will be sorely missed by the Cole family.
I am SO sorry to hear about her passing. I participated in her boot camp in Altamonte Springs. She was extremely passionate about her craft, always trying to help others get in shape and stay in shape for long lasting health. She was funny and personable and really cared about everyone’s well being. My condolences to her friends and family.
I’m so sorry to hear about Wendy. I am very new to GL-12. My condolences goes out to her family and friends.
THIS SUCKS! What an inspiration she was, i remember meeting her when she was just starting forever fit after leaving bally’s in 1998, i would meet her at 6am and she was bright eyed and full of energy after her 4 am workout, she had that “whatever it takes” attitude and unconquerable spirit which i really admired. In one of her last emails to me she was so proud of valerie and the things she is accomplishing. A gaping hole has been left in everyone’s lives. My condolences to everyone.
How sad that we have lost Wendy but what a wonderful example of life she left us with. We will miss her passion for life, health, nutrition and wonderful sense of humor. She has left us with great information to continue a healthy lifestyle. Our condolences and prayers go out to her family.
I just started reading Wendy’s book and getting ready to start the program this upcoming Monday. I was shocked when I heard of this news. I’m so sorry to Wendy’s family & friends for your loss. Wendy seems to have touched some many lives in so many ways. I will NOT let her down – I will CRACK THE FAT LOSS CODE!!!!!!!! God Bless!
I’m so sad to hear of Wendy’s passing, though I never met Wendy I feel like I lost a fried. I purchased her Nutrition Boot Camp program about two years ago, and I became an instant believer, after years of trying everything under sun with temporary or no results I tried Wendy’s program and immediately started to see results without starving myself or taking pills to lose weight. I have been telling everyone I know about Wendy’s program and the positive lifestyle changes you gain from the program, because it’s not a gimmick, it’s a program based on science and facts that will work for anyone regardless of age or size. Wendy showed me how to turn my weight loss disappointments and frustration into weight loss success, I will forever be grateful to her for that, she will be missed. My condolences, prayers and love to the family she left behind and the many friends and collogues.
Wendy taught everything plus more in the area of fat loss. I am so happy to be a member of get lean in 12. She was brave to stand up to all the other diet specialists and tell them they were partly wrong. She was sparkling, energetic, and a caring person, she will be missed. Thank you Shaun for giving us her videos. My condolences to her family and friends.
Sincerely Gloria get lean in 12 member.
Ironically, I just got out my old Original Forever Fit bootcamp notebook to start getting back on track. Wendy was a strong force of positive energy, encouragement and, occasionally, a good kick in the ____ when it was needed! Her big spirit and all of her little sayings will live on…
*** May the Father of compassion & the God of all comfort, comfort you.(2 Corin. 1:3-4) The LORD is close to the brokenhearted & saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34:18) Cast your cares on Him and He will sustain you. (Psalm 55:22) He does not ignore the cry of the afflicted, but encourages them. (Psalm 9:12b & 10:17) Draw near to Him & He will draw near to you. (James 4:8) May the LORD be your shepherd & lead you beside still waters, & restore your soul. (Psalm 23:1-3) He is faithful to all His promises & loving toward all He has made. (Psalm 145:13) May the LORD’s unfailing love rest upon you, even as you put your hope in Him. (Psalm 33:33) His compassions never fail, they are new every morning; great is His faithfulness. (Lam. 3:22-23) May His right hand uphold you. (Psalm 63:8) May He be your strength & your shield; and may your heart trust in Him, and be helped. (Psalm 28:7)
I was saddened to hear of the loss of Wendy. I am so thankful that I accidentally found out about her and the GL12 plan. All else has failed, this is working! I pray that God hold her family and friends in the palm of His hand and offer comfort to them in the weeks ahead. Wendy was a blessing to this earth and all she touched.
This is truly a sad day for everyone who knew Wendy Chant. We send our prayers and sincere condolences to her dear family and friends.
She was compassionate about her work and inspired so many to “crack the fat loss code” — countless people who struggled with weight problems are healthier today because of her. Her program will live on — her knowledge and expertize will not be lost. I started 1 1/2 years ago and today am a size 8 thanks to her. We kept in touch by email –I met her at a book signing — we had a laugh about me calling myself Phyllis Broccolilly. It was evident at that time she was not well, but she had
a big smile on her face telling us about the ForeverFit program. Wendy Chant is someone many people will never forget. May she Rest in Peace.
My heart sank when I heard of Wendy’s death. I had not seen her in years and had heard she was ill but I simply never considered she was fighting a battle she could not win. Her encylopedic knowledge of nutrition and fitness was so inspiring. It is so unfair. My prayers are with her loved ones at this time. The world has lost a wonderful human being.
It’s been a while since I have seen Wendy. Knew she was ill, but really thought she could fight this one. We have all lost a dear friend, one who cared about our battle with the bulge. She will be greatly missed. Prayers and thoughts are with the family. God bless each of you.
I was saddened to hear of Wendy’s passing. Her inspiration will live on through her books and through those whose lives she touched both personally and in the weight loss field. She will surely be missed. My prayers go out to her family and dear friends, that they may be comforted by those who have known Wendy’s great spirit and determination. She was a champion…..
Dear Wendy, Whether you knew it or not, you have made a tremendous impact in my life. I will always remember your tough love and “Just do it, dammit!” advice. And after our sessions, you’d come to me with a sincere “Give me a hug.” In life and in death you were a true champion. The world is a better place because of what you brought into it. May your legacy live on in the bootcamp survivors!
I am so sorry to hear of Wendy’s passing. I am new to forever fit, and have been on the program for 3 weeks now. I am 50 years old and my metabolism was not working at all. I have tried everything and been to doctors for testing to find I am perfectly healthy. I just could not lose weight. I found out about forever fit because I picked up a magazine in a grocery store and read an article about fixing a broken metabolism. That was me! I researched this program, then bought Wendy’s book. I have lost 10 pounds already and finally my metabolism is moving. I owe Wendy and Shaun a huge debt of gratitude. I am so sorry to hear of her passing, but will carry on what she is teaching me in her book, therefore she will never be forgotton.
I join so many others in expressing my gratitude to Wendy for sharing with so many her weight loss knowledge. I never met Wendy, but consider her a true friend. To her family and friends I send my sincere condolences. Thank you for sharing Wendy with all of us.
Wendy Chant— God Bless You for your service to humanity. Condolences to everyone in your family.
Lovingly
Jennifer Philogene
